Best Removable Dance Pole Reviews UK

pole dancingWhen you invest in a high-quality dancing pole, one of the considerations you make is whether to have a freestanding, fixed, or removable dance pole. There are plenty of poles on the market to suit the different needs you may have but you may be wondering what the best removable pole is.

The gold standard in totally removable poles is the X-Pole Xpert. The wide dome at the top of the pole spreads the pressure evenly across your ceiling joists so that it doesn’t leave a mark. This is perfect for you if you have guests over or rent and don’t want to leave signs of pole dancing around.

It comes with a carry bag for portability so you can use it in any room of your house, or other people’s houses. Much better than a screw-in option which is a bit of a faff and leaves screw holes in your ceiling.

There is no need to screw anything into the ceiling or floor with this pole as it works via tension to keep it in place and you safe. You can use it to invert or spin safely without worrying about it coming crashing down on you like with cheaper poles. It really is worth the investment if you are serious about pole dancing at home.

You remove the X-pole Xpert easily by winding down an adjuster thread at the bottom of the pole and taking the pieces apart. No need to balance at the top of a ladder with a heavy ceiling plate which can be dangerous. It stores in a handy carry case so you can store it away somewhere safe.

Dangerous Removable Dance Poles

Not all removable dance poles are created equal. We really don’t recommend the Peekaboo pole for example, unless you want a cheap pole to pose around. Many people have had this pole fall down on them when attempting basic spins.

Safety is key when buying any pole, and some tension based removable poles just aren’t sturdy enough to take an average weight of a person. The X-Pole representative when questioned about how much weight the pole could handle on average said:

“In general a correctly installed X-Pole, correctly tensioned, up to 12’ will handle dancers, in a controlled environment using the pole properly, up to 250lbs.”

This is more than enough for most purposes, but the rep went on to say that if there is any doubt you should contact the UK office to check.

The peekaboo pole manufacturers, on the other hand, CLAIM their pole will hold a person who is 200lbs, but in my own and many other people experiences, it wouldn’t even hold a light weight.

In summary, it is not worth putting your safety at risk when it comes to buying a removable dance pole in the UK, so opt for a trustworthy pole like the X-Pole Xpert to ensure your safety.
